Abby Tutors is a one-on-one, in-person tutoring service for kindergarten to university students in the Fraser Valley. Using current materials from the BC curriculum, we provide relevant and personalized learning experiences, while accommodating various learning needs. After each lesson, the tutor will create and send a progress report, which outlines the concepts and levels of understanding. Our tutors are carefully selected for their competency and communication skills so that students receive a highly effective learning experience.

Founder

Founded in 2008 by long-time teachers, Marilyn and Ron Peters,
Abby Tutors was built on a vision to combine their love of education with a desire
to help students feel confident and capable in their studies and beyond.
Abby Tutors has helped hundreds of students achieve their academic goals and grow in their confidence for school and for life.

Manager

Abby Tutors is currently managed by Victoria Crompton. Victoria is an enthusiastic and experienced educator. While pursuing the teacher-education program at Trinity Western University, Victoria taught language arts, math, science, and social studies at schools in Abbotsford and Langley. She also taught ESL in South Korea and at an international school in Toronto. Victoria is committed to helping students succeed. She is a gracious and attentive communicator who matches students with tutors who meet their learning needs.

Tutors

The tutors at Abby Tutors are well-equipped to help students thrive. Our tutors are thoroughly vetted through reference checks, university transcripts, and criminal record checks. They have successfully completed the required university coursework. Our tutors have previous relevant experience, enabling them to effectively plan and communicate lessons. Students have greatly benefited from the tutelage of our friendly and helpful tutors.
